AB - Early career professionals in the field of thrombosis and hemostasis may experience significant gender-dependent challenges across research, clinical practice, industry, and beyond. Individuals who identify as women, hereafter referred to as women, may face systemic biases and discrimination that hinder career advancement and leadership opportunities. These barriers are more pronounced in marginalized groups, including racial and ethnic minorities and the LGBTQIA+ community. Here, we highlight some of the challenges disproportionally impacting early career women in our community and discuss potential strategies that might begin to close gender-related gaps.
